چکیده

Computer understanding of human actions and interactions is the key research issue in human computing. Meanwhile context has been considered to play an essential role in understanding of human behavior during group interactions. This paper proposes a novel Event Driven Dynamic Context Model underlying the context sensing framework to support online analysis of group interactions in meeting scenarios. Sensing of dynamic context is based on multi-level event detection. A novel probabilistic model named Event Driven Multi-level Dynamic Bayesian Network (EDM-DBN) is presented to model hierarchical context and perform online analysis of multi-level events, which is superior over previous works. Experimental results in our smart meeting room demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.

Modularising Context Dependency and Group Behaviour in Ambient-oriented Programming

The pervasive computing field envisions users surrounded by computers embedded in everyday devices. Such devices form dynamic networks which change topology as users move about. Software services are expected to maximise available computational capacities by seamlessly coordinating with each other. The services should also react to dynamic changes in the environment and adapt their behaviour ac...

Analyzing large event traces with the help of a coupling metrics

Gaining understanding of a large-scale industrial program is often a daunting task. In this context dynamic analysis has proven it’s usefulness for gaining insight in object-oriented software. However, collecting and analyzing the event trace of large-scale industrial applications remains a difficult task. In this paper we present a heuristic that identifies interesting starting points for furt...

Flow Seals Parameters Analysis For Rotors

The interaction of work fluid mechanics with that of the rotary system itself, basically composed of axes, bearings and rotors, is performed by inserting equivalent dynamic coefficients in the mathematical model of the rotor, the latter being obtained by the finite element method. In this paper, the dynamic coefficients of inertia, stiffness and damping of the flat seals analyzed here are evalu...
